How can I keep the post in my office chair from coming out the bottom of the base?

I went to office depot and looked at the bottom of several chairs. There seems to be this sort of tab and washer combination that keeps the post from coming out. Where can I find these items?

check where the post goes into the top of the base. there may be a screw on the side of the collar there that needs to be tightened, just adjust the height of the chair to where you want it to be before you tighten it. good luck, hope this does it for you.
Buy one of the chairs you looked at.
Well in the same department of office chairs ask to see if there is a Kit with those parts in them……..
